Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, who is currently on loan at Juventus, has said that he was always feeling confident about returning to the Juventus first-team once he has recovered from his injury problems. The Danish international was recently included in the first-team that was set to face Torino during the weekend. It was one of the important matches for Juventus in the season, as it was against their local rivals. Bendtner has expressed his delight at being able to be part of such an important match.
The Danish international recently got in trouble with the Danish authorities after being found guilty of drink driving. This is just one of the several incidents he has been involved over the last few years. Even though he has not been in the best of his form at Juventus, Bendtner has been included in the squad to play against Torino. The striker made the move from Arsenal on a season-long loan deal in the summer. He is not expected to be retained by the club at the end of the season. His future still remains unclear, but Bendtner wants to enjoy life in Turin as long as possible.
“I am very happy to be back in the squad and it is quite according to plan. It was always understood that I would be back with the team when I was ready after my injury. I was there for the fight against Milan last weekend and now for this against Torino too,” said Bendtner in a recent interview. The striker has confirmed on several occasions that he would not want to stay at Arsenal. He has made eight appearances for Juventus, but is yet to open his account. The 25-year-old has been linked with several clubs including Hamburg from Germany, who have been in talks with Arsenal over the last few weeks.
