Bendtner’s last 2 seasons has been spent out on loan to Juventus and Sunderland, although he enjoyed a fairly successful time in the Premier League club Sunderland, his next one was a total disaster as he was plagued by injuries and just being chosen behind other certain players that left him for the majority of his time in Juventus on the sidelines.
When making his return to Arsenal, the club of Arsene Wenger was in search of someone else who can be back-up option for Giroud and attempted to make a loan deal with Demba Ba but it was rejected by Jose Mourinho as he did not want to offload the Belgium striker to the team that has been performing superbly in this season.
The Danish striker suffered from a car crash back in September of 2009 and following that incident, he was frustrated being in Arsenal and claimed to never play again for the club.
‘’After my car crash I never really got the chance to earn a spot in the first team. ‘’That is over one-and-a-half years with no real chance to prove myself. I am really looking forward to playing for Sunderland and then we will see next summer’’.
‘’I will find a new club – but I will not go back to Arsenal, that’s for sure.” said Bendtner.
This statement might be the reason why Arsenal are looking to offload him to another club but the problem is that the schedule which Arsene Wenger and his team have to go through in the next few weeks will leave the French coach with not many options at his disposal.
It is very likely that Bendtner’s next matches in this month might just be his last ones. Arsenal is in desperate search for a quality striker that can play alongside and fill in the absence of Giroud.
Bendtner has been making some recent appearances with Arsenal and even managed to score a goal against Hull City but this is only happening because Arsene Wenger does not have other options for him as Theo Walcott and Podolski are both out injured. Bendtner’s time in Arsenal is running out…
