Nicklas Bendtner has signed for the Italian club Juventus on a 1 year loan deal. The manager of Juventus, Antonio Conte, has confirmed the loan move of Bendtner. The Danish striker was not getting too many first team chances at Arsenal, so, he was keen to leave the club. After signing for Juventus, Bendtner said that he is very excited to play for Juventus. He is expecting to get regular playing opportunities in Turin and hopefully, he would be able to make a mark in the ongoing season.
The manager of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, has said that Bendtner would definitely come back in the Arsenal squad in the next season. He is a young, talented player and he would learn quite a lot playing for Juventus. On being asked whether Bendtner is not in his plans for the future, Wenger answered negatively. As per Wenger, he has full confidence in Bendtner. If he hadn’t had faith in Bendtner’s abilities, he would not have opted to buy him when he was only a teenager. Arsenal had bought Bendtner from Copenhagen in 2004 when the Danish player was just 16 years of age.
Wenger said that Bendtner is only 24 years of age at the moment and this is the time when he should prove the world what he is capable of. He has got enormous talent, but, the talent needs to be translated into performances. According to some reports, Bendtner didn’t have a good tuning with Wenger and that was one of the reasons why he wanted to leave Arsenal. On being asked about that, Wenger said that these reports are completely baseless. Bendtner is a nice guy and very cooperative in nature. As per Wenger, he never had any issues with the Danish international. Hopefully, he would do well for Juventus. That would do his confidence a whole lot of good.
