The Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has said that he is extremely fit at the moment, despite the fact that he has not played regularly for his club Juventus. Nicklas Bendtner joined the Italian club Juventus on a season long loan deal, but he has found first-team opportunities once again limited. However, he has said that he is feeling fitter and sharper than ever before and is prepared to wait for his chance. The Denmark striker has made no secret of the fact that he would like to leave Arsenal after being not given regular first-team opportunities by the manager Arsene Wenger.
However, he could not get himself a permanent transfer away from the Emirates stadium and ended up moving to Turin on a season long loan deal. Juventus have made a great start to the new season by remaining unbeaten until they were recently defeated 3-1 by Inter Milan. However, Nicklas Bendtner has not been a major factor in this extraordinary start by the Italian champions because he has played in only two matches – coming on as a substitute in both of them. Bendtner has said that there is always a period of adjusting to the new club, he hopes that Juventus find the best way to utilise him.
“At Juventus, the training has been different to — and much harder than — anything I’ve done before. Because of that, my form is at a peak. I’m much sharper. Without playing, I’m down to fighting weight and that’s never happened before. I think Juventus are aware of what I can do. When you come to a new club, you have to learn about things. In seven games, they have won six and drawn one, so it’s fine,” said the 24-year-old Denmark international. The striker spent the last season on loan at Sunderland.
